Stamping tips

The three most important components are stamps, ink pads and the appropriate stationery. We recommend a base for stamping, e.g. a large sheet of paper and a damp sponge cloth on a plate to clean your stamp.

1st step Picking up color: tap the rubber stamp lightly on the stamp pad or dab with the pad. Before printing, check that the rubber is completely covered with paint.

Step 2 Pressing the stamp: When the rubber stamp is completely covered with ink, press the stamp evenly onto the paper.

Allow time to dry. In addition, we recommend not stacking freshly stamped cards on top of each other and not using sealed or coated papers.

Tip: You can use classic artist supply spray fixer for water-based paints to protect the paint from smudging. But that is not a must.

The quality of a stamp impression also depends on the choice of paper.
Not every paper can be stamped equally well: the imprint is more irregular on rough paper. With a smooth paper it is finer. Coated or sealed paper does not absorb the ink at all or only very slowly.
We prefer to use an uncoated, rather smooth paper, as is the case with our cards and paper tags.

Tip: Test your stationery before stamping large quantities.

Stamp out the stamp on a damp sponge cloth until there is no more ink residue. Before you continue stamping, test on scrap paper to make sure the stamp is really clean.

Tip: It is best to stamp from light to dark - this way you avoid dark colors in your light stamp pad.

Store the stamps in a way that they do not get bruises. It is best to place the stamps sorted next to each other, i.e. not stacked on top of each other, in any box. It is important that the rubber stamp is pointing upwards, this also prevents the rubber from being pressed in at one point.

It is best to place the lettering in the lower third of the card. This allows the main motif to find space above the text stamp.
Make sure to stamp the lettering as straight as possible and to keep the same distance to the left and right edges of the card. It becomes even more symmetrical if the distances between the main motif, text stamp and lower edge of the card are identical.

This sounds harder than it is - trust your eye and with a little practice you'll get the hang of it in no time.

Our pigment pads will not normally dry out if kept sealed and away from direct sunlight or heated air. The cushions last a long time and ensure a lot of stamping fun.

The longest way to preserve the freshness of your ink pad is to always store it with the lid closed on the side of the clear lid, so that ink rises to the top of the pad and doesn't collect on the bottom over time.

Our snow color and especially the metallic colors gold, rose gold and silver look particularly beautiful on dark paper. Embossing also looks great on dark stationery!

Shake the bottle well and spread about 4 drops on your empty stamp pad. Then use the tip of the bottle to rub the dye into the pillow. You can also distribute the color directly on the pillow.

The bottle contains about 14 ml of ink. If you fill the pillow sparingly, you can refill it about 20-40 times, depending on the size of the pad.

Shake the bottle of ink well and distribute a maximum of 1/3 of the bottle evenly on the stamp pad. Let the pillow sit for about 15 minutes to allow the color to set.

No, they are not. You can refill our Dye Ink stamp pads with the same color and use them multiple times, but you should use a new pad if you change colors.

Tip: You can also use the box to store your stamps and ink pads.

Our stamp sets are conceptually coordinated in terms of design and color and motif selection so that you can get started quickly and easily. Since our sets are all pre-assembled, they unfortunately cannot be changed or individual items exchanged. Of course, you can always put together your own set and get inspiration for the stamps, colors and accessories in our sets.

No, unfortunately we do not produce individualized stamps on request. Perlenfischer motif stamps stand for a very unique style and are now recognized all over the world thanks to their typical design. We launch two of our own collections per year and are always happy to receive your ideas and requests!

1. Cut out the motif you want and remove the protective film
2. Press the tattoo face down onto your skin and moisten the paper well with a sponge.
3. After about 30 seconds you can carefully remove the paper. Then let the tattoo dry briefly.
4. You can easily remove the tattoo by rubbing the affected area with some cream or skin oil.

You can also find the instructions on the back of the tattoos themselves.

No, our tattoos are of course checked for the European cosmetic guidelines. So you can apply our tattoos on your skin without hesitation. However, if you have certain allergies, please consult your doctor before applying the tattoos.

Embossing describes a specific design technique in which a relief is created on a base. The relief has a particularly great feel and makes every card an eye-catcher.

You need a heat gun, embossing powder, the right stamp color and of course your favorite stamp motif.

Our metallic shades of gold, silver and rose gold are perfect for the embossing technique because the powder adheres very well.
You can also use the clear embossing ink pad.

1. Stamp your motif on a card with the appropriate stamp color.
2. Now sprinkle the embossing powder of your choice onto the motif.
3. Now gently tap the card to remove excess powder and return it to the powder jar.
4. Then heat the stamped motif with the heat gun. The powder bonds in seconds and a relief is formed that stands out from the card.
5. Let it dry a bit and you're done!

You should not use a hair dryer, because the hair dryer will not be hot enough and will also blow away the powder from your stamp work. Therefore, use a suitable heat gun.

It is best to use textile stamping ink for this.

You can also stamp on fabric with our pigment ink pads. But since these are water-based, they won't hold up when you wash the fabric.

ATTENTION: Not all fabrics are equally suitable.
Synthetic fibers often do not absorb the color. The less structure a fabric has, the more detailed the imprint will be.

The best way to distribute textile ink is with a sponge on the stamp motif. The ink thicker than water-soluble stamping ink. If you order textile ink from our shop, a suitable sponge will be included in the delivery.

1. Prepare a base, the fabric and a piece of cardboard/a plate for the paint.
2. Put some fabric stamping ink on the cardboard/plate and use a sponge to apply it to the rubber of your motif stamp until the imprint surface is evenly wetted.
3. Now press the motif stamp onto the fabric with even pressure. Repeat the imprint as often as you want, applying a new color each time.
4. Let it dry well - done!

Yes, you can. But you need solvent-based stamping ink for this. We recommend pottery paint from Potters Pad, for example. In the ink pad category you will find an ink pad from StazOn in the color jet black. This is also suitable for this.
